Tools for working the Twelve Steps
In order to know if you have worked step two properly, simply answer the following question:
Have my adventures before and after sobriety convinced me of the following three pertinent ideas?
a. That I was alcoholic and could not manage my own life.
b. That no human power could relieve me of my alcoholism (or other addiction).
c. That God could and would if He were sought.
If the answer is no, you have not yet completed step two.
If the answer is yes, you are free to move on to step three!
